Captured Commuter Audience

There is a lifestyle, routine, that is unique to those cities built on good commuter systems like New York, Chicago and San Francisco. What I've discovered living in London is that it's no different on this side of the pond. The daily commute isn’t on a highway behind the wheel of a car but waiting on a bus or stuffed into a train. And while most people have their noses buried in their phone or a newspaper (still a preferred medium of train commuters), there is an opportunity for a captured commuter audience. I’ve seen some pretty cool things like a jumbo-tron at Waterloo station or a series of monitors on the longest escalator in Europe.

Application: consider where we have the longest attention span of our audience and innovative. Remember shoppers have a time budget as well as a spending budget.
